Terms of use
The terms on which KaziLaw is offered, paid for and used. Last updated 1 November 2026. By using kazilaw.com or paying for it, you agree to them.
What KaziLaw is, and is not
KaziLaw is software. It finds the provision of Tanzanian labour law that governs a question and returns it quoted and cited, it produces employment documents from what you enter, and it keeps a record of what was done and when.
It is not a law firm and it does not give legal advice. Using it does not create a lawyer–client relationship. It does not assess the merits of any case. Where a matter needs advice on its own facts — a contested dismissal, a discrimination or harassment allegation, a retrenchment, or a live dispute before the Commission for Mediation and Arbitration — consult a licensed Tanzanian advocate, engaged directly by you. You remain responsible for the decisions you take and the documents you issue.
What you can buy
- Questions, at TZS 5,000 each, for one person with no account. You receive a code that holds the questions you bought. Unused questions expire 90 days after purchase. A question is used only when you receive an answer — not when KaziLaw has no provision to cite or asks you to clarify. The code is like a ticket: whoever holds it can use it, and we cannot look it up for you, so keep it safe.
- HR and Enterprise, monthly plans for an organisation. Enterprise is priced per site. What each includes and costs is on the pricing page and is shown again at checkout before you pay.
Prices are in Tanzanian shillings. We may change them; a change applies from your next payment, never to a period you have already paid for.
Paying
Payment is taken by mobile money or card through our payment providers. A monthly plan runs for one month from the day the payment is confirmed. It does not renew by itself: you pay again to continue.
When a month ends unpaid, everything keeps working for a further 7 days. After that, access stops — no new cases, documents or questions — but nothing is deleted. Your records wait for you, renewing brings them back as they were, and you can download all of them at any time, paid or not.
No refunds
All payments are final and non-refundable — including for questions you do not use, codes that expire or are lost, and any part of a month you do not use. Stopping part-way through a month does not return any of that month’s payment.
If a payment went through and you did not receive what you paid for, that is not a refund question: email support@kazilaw.com with the transaction number from your payment message or receipt, and we will deliver it — reissue the code, or switch the plan on.
Accounts and your organisation’s records
- Keep your sign-in to yourself. Each person who uses an organisation’s account has their own login, and every action is recorded against it.
- The records you create are yours. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to record what you enter about your staff, and for its accuracy. We hold the records for you as our privacy policy describes, and keep them for at least five years.
- A finished document is sealed: fingerprinted and time-stamped so that any later change can be detected. Anyone can check a copy at /verify.
Using KaziLaw properly
Do not use KaziLaw to break the law or to harm the people its records are about; do not try to reach another organisation’s records, get round a payment or a limit, or disrupt the service; and do not copy the law library, the documents or the software to offer them as your own. We may suspend an account that does, and will tell you why.
Our responsibility
We work to keep KaziLaw accurate, available and secure, and to keep the law it quotes up to date. But the law changes and software can be wrong, and KaziLaw is provided as it is, without any promise that it is free of error or fit for a particular matter.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for the outcome of any dispute, and our total liability to you for anything arising from KaziLaw is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms; the date at the top will move, and a change that affects a current subscription applies from its next payment. These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, and its courts decide any dispute about them.
